by making moral judgements
or refusing to face unpleasant facts - and still less by stigmatising those who are infected and making out that it is all their fault.

The National Stamp out Stigma Campaign in conjunction with World AIDS Day 2007, is pleased to invite you to a special seminar; ‘Stigma Facts’ in the Davenport Hotel, on Friday November 30th from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.

The National Stamp out Stigma Campaign is supported by An Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern together with Irish Aid, the Departments of Health and Children and Equality and Law Reform. This campaign is organised by a steering committee which represents the Multi-stakeholder Forum, comprising of domestic and international NGO’s, frontline statutory workers and networks of people living with HIV.

A key function of the seminar is to outline the campaign achievements to date and to release bench mark research on attitudes and prejudices towards people living with HIV in Ireland. Also included is a presentation on the consultation held with people living with HIV in Ireland.

Another aim of the afternoon will be the launch of a truly unique publication featuring personal experiences from those living with HIV in Ireland and abroad.

The seminar is open to all interested parties; we welcome your attendance and look forward to meeting you on the day.
